One thing has just dawned on me...

An AV Receiver has an incredible array of inputs and outputs to connect any source using any manner of connection to a display device and speakers.

With TV's and Blu-Ray players now coming with RJ45 ethernet connectors to enable internet browsing and blu-ray live content, hasn't any AVR manufacturer thought of integrating a wireless network receiver into an AV receiver and have an array of Ethernet ports (along with the hdmi, digital, component connectors etc.) to connect all the internet aware devices into?

they have, not for Blu-ray live as the player does that.

I know Onkyo have had a net connection on their top end amps for quite some time and IIRC some other makers also do.

Think some of the high end Denons have as well.

My brother has the Denon 3310 and I'm pretty sure its got the connectivity.

Hi nads,

Thnaks for the quick reply. I did mean to pass through the network connection, so the receiver would distribute the network connection to the blu-ray player and TV. Is that what the top end ONK does?

Dale.
