Just looking for a bit of advise on what interconnects to buy and how many i need. Not really sure. I got an s370,2310,xbox and will have a plasma telly soon. Do i need one for each source going to the receiver? and also should i get optical or coaxial ? Pretty sure thats been asked before but hey. and possibly some kind of freetsat or sky box maybe somewhere down the line. Thanks.

The easiest way, which would mean having your 2310 on whenever you want sound and vision is as follows:

HDMI from plasma to 2310. HDMI from bluray player to 2310. HDMI from Xbox to 2310 (I'm assuming the Xbox has hdmi, if not use component from it to 2310 and also digital optical cable from it to 2310). Job done.

You would then need AV cables from screen to source for each one.

Soopafly49:av cables?....

Audio Visual - ie cables that give picture and sound. So, an HDMI cable for each source (will give you both picture and sound), and a component cable if needed for the Xbox, will only give you picture so you would also need an audio cable too. As I said before, much easier the one cable, everything through the receiver route.

you can change the amp to output in non surround mode, e.g. stereo 2.0 or stereo 2.1.
