Couldn't copy the link from fb as kept crashing but check out

www.code-acoustics.com
Think you'll find it interesting if you haven't already seen it.

Nice link. Thanks Andrew!

I was not aware of them. It does look good. Will be interesting to read the reviews.

Edit
Having just started reading the white paper I've realised I have seen this website already. Someone shared this on Hifi Wigwam.

It came up on my fb an article about building a killer system for under £1000 or something like that. Im very busy atm so have not read it but thought of straight away when I read it

I'm not on Facebook 🙂 I do however agree £1,000 is a decent budget to build something yourself.

Am I right you're not in the UK? Or have I remember it wrong?

But I guess the System 2 will come at a price (way over £10.000 going by the price mentioned for the System 1). And it still lacks room correction -- which you might want, with eight 12" bass drivers...

A very interesting read though -- thanks, Andrew!

No i live in uk but come from SA.

Been of interest at least
Diy is great
Was seriously considering building wilmslow audio k100 s but recently found out that atc no longer supply the midrange driver. So it only has the 12inch non super linear bass driver now.
They have substituted the midrange witha volt midrange and while I bet it still sounds good won't be atc

Aha, so I partly remembered it right 🙂

Definitely worth going to Harrogate Show if not too far for you. It's a new concept so no one is sure how it'll turn out but if it's half as good as Scalford it'll be interesting. It's the 21-22 October. I will be going at least one day.

Sounds good but have little one on the way so may be tied up. I'll check how far away it is.

I think it will make business sense to sell the Control -1 box seperately as well. Most people with passive speakers , wanting to go active could use them.
