So my cats have a penchant for eating headphone cables, both my daughters cheap skulls, not to much of an issue. Then my new Sennheiser Momentum still have spare cable. But the icing on the cake my beloved Klipsch X10i that I listen in bed every night got the wires chewed and its almost impossible to repair them So do I kill the cats? No I love them!

So i need new in ears possibly the Klipsch X11 ? Any suggestions around the £150 mark have to be small as Im laying down in them, then falling asleep in them. Cheers.

Try Audiofly's AF78's. Amazing sound quality for less than £200.

All rounders and great with any genre.

Made by musicians so you know the tone will be great.

Highly rated on Headfi.org.

You could also look at the Audio-Technica ATH-CKR9 and 10.

Headfi review here.

Definitely in the same arena as the Klipsch.

Cheers guys they both look really interesting spotted the Audio Technica on your site last night Joel. Would you say both these are dynamically better than the Klipsch I'm after balanced natural, dynamic sound. The on ear Momentums I bought on looks alone are just plain dull they do absolutely nothing for me I really don't want to listen to them.

Today has been manic on the IQ side so not had much time also had to take my CXN back to Richer. Sounded all OK there! But they were great so while I was there bought some Soundmagic E10 £25 to tide me over very very pleasantly surprised they really are rather good! It would seem politically correct that I let Mrs IQ buy me the chosen replacements for my impending 51th bday.

These Soundmagic E10 things are pretty amazing for £25 comfatable, very well made, great wire and plug, fantastic sound really good controlled bass more the the X10, I think the only thing not as good as the Klipsch is the treble very impressed they blow the on ear Momentum away, I really feel like chucking them in the bin they are so bad.

Do I need to buy some replacements? Probally and I shall endevour to come to you MIYE's Joel.

The feedback seems initially negative on this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/633163/audiofly-af78-or-similar-200-alternatives

but after #10 the feedback becomes much more positive. I hope that you enjoy them. *biggrin*

Took about 40-50 hours running, but indeed I have. I love them, so much more detailed. The soundstage is far more organized than the X10i. As good as the Soundmagic are for the price they dont come close to this.Thank you Santa.
