In Ceiling Speakers

Hi

Can anyone tell me if I could use in ceiling speakers as my surround pair in 5.1 set up please and if so any advice on which ones would be appreciated ?

The room is not very large and i sit only slightly in front of my surround speakers.

Will the in ceiling units provide the surround experience or am I better with a standard set of speakers?

I currently have an Infinity Oreus package

Very much so.

Most loudspeaker manufacturers have an in-wall/ceiling range.

I have the budget end Polk and Yamaha for rear duties in my cinemas. It's difficult to get a review on these type of speaker as pretty much each installation will be different.

I have no trouble recommending either though, just depends on your budget...

I recently had a demonstration with in ceiling speakers. I used to doubt them before that demo, but not any more and I would go as far to say that it was one of the best system I have heard. You can use them happily knowing that you will get the 5.1 surround experience you desire.

Infinity have the ERS 110DT that will work well, or the CS60. Both would work with your package.
