The 65 inch model is known to have banding problems that the 55 inch doesnt have..many owners have the problem on avforums with their 65 inch set.
Yep, hopefully being the second batch they will be better.

What happened to the Panasonic player then? I thought you didn't like the Samsung.
The Panasonic one went back, if only played DVDs half screen, and I like my DVDs. I will keep the Samsung now, it's the same as the Panasonic but plays DVDs properly.

As above, I am starting to miss my Panasonic 65-inch TV and was just wondering what the members on here saw as the best? I am thinking the LG 65E OLED, the Sony 65dx9305, the Panasonic 65dx902 or the Samsung 65k9000? Which would you choose and why? Ta

Having seen all the above in John Lewis this week, my favourite was the Sony.

Gel you should have checked settings more thoroughly. In the Aspect Settings Menu, you should have chosen 16.9. When I tried it on Auto it gave the same results as you described. Also 4.3 material also played back at 4.3 size. Setting 16.9 solved that too. *biggrin*

What? Even on AV Forums they are saying the same thing! Where is this menu? Cheers.

Gel,on the remote control,The Aspect Button is found below the Home Button and above the channel up/down button.Pressing this offers up the menu choices.
Ah, cheers mate! How are you finding the picture on 4K blu ray ultra hd? I demoed this TV yesterday and liked it a lot. Do you think the stand would be okay to overlap an av stand? Because the legs go rather wide?

Gel wants his equipment to play the way he likes it out of the box, without having to try and change the settings. :D
On this occasion I tried the manual and the online manual and nothing, even posted it up here and Seriesboy read it and he couldn't see anything either.

Comments on the owners thread (on AVF) say you really don't want to take chances with the stand the 902 goes on.

The TVs stand is wide & deep and looking at it, it needs to be fully on a flat surface

Gel,the panasonic ub 900 doesn't come into stock at J L Until 16th/17th May they told me,so can't comment as yet. As for the 65" Pana Stand, thats why I opted for the 58" version as my stand/rack is only 48" wide.So that the stand on the 58" fits great. ie its 1 1/4 inches in from each side. The depth is Fine also giving me 3" infront of the TV. Phone up and ask them to measure the stand dimensions for the 65" LG as I did for my Pana before purchase.Richard has the same TV as I do.

Haven't watch 4K yet and prob won't until fibre comes to my village. Can't see me getting a 4K player either (maybe the PS4 4K version). My main film watching is on my 1080p projector which I've no intention of changing.

Upscaled 1080p looks amazing on it and everything about the tv including the OS screams quality.
