I have always thought HD DVDs were better than Blu-Ray's. I got 36 HD DVDs with the player too And it does high definition sound. *good*

One brought when Hd-dvd first came out and two others brought off ebay when I found out the first one couldn't send Hd audio through its hdmi socket.

Got about 150 discs as well, many still available to buy on ebay and amazon.

Gel, you need to stop this now. You're getting crazy with your buying again! Why would HD DVD be better? It's all digital information!
It looked better when I compared it years ago.

It's impossible for HD DVD to be better than blu ray.

Check this thread for example:
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=7739

Besides, you'll only have those 35 titles with none of the newer films releasing on HD DVD.

Evn if you claim you're OK on the other thread, I know you're not. It's even more worrying now, as you chose to ignore all the posts in the LX5090 thread who were giving you good advice.

because in your mind you are biased to think it does look better, you want an excuse to buy into a dead 10 year old format which is a complete waste of money.

Presumably oniomania is a rich-man's disease. I'm too poor to fund any kind of addiction like that.

Oniomaniacs tend to hoard things. The good news is that Gel takes his back for a refund.

Not necessarily. It's a compulsive disorder of buying or being preoccupied with buying things. It doesn't matter if they hoard or not.
Thats what I got. But it was due to an illness I got it in the first place. I think I am doing better though.

Just watching Batman Begins, it looks like it goes slightly darker than Blu-Ray. But overall much the same. Transformers looked slightly better too. Really clear. Can't quite fit all my HD DVDs in my secret cupboard.
