Help..I am having great trouble in getting the Bose V20 Lifestyle home theatre system to work with my Philips LED PFL9704 TV. The Bose works with the Philips Bluray which is connected to the Bose via HDMI but when you try to watch TV there is no sound at all. The digibox is built in to this model of tv & the only way to get the audio out is via RCA or Digital COAX. The Bose has RCA inputs for tv channel & also has an assignable COAX connection. No matter how they are connected (either one or the other or both) switching to the tv audio channel only gives sound for 2 seconds then nothing.

Bose also has optical audio input for tv channel but the Philips tv only has RCA or COAX digital. Should it work with one or other of these connections or do I need the optical connected aswell? If so how do I connect the optical up..??? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Bose unit does sound great linked up with the Bluray but no point having it if it is not compatible with the tv.

If the sound comes on for a couple of seconds than the RCA connections must work, it's probably just a setting in the bose menu.

EDIT: make sure you have not assigned the coax connection to the TV input, if you have change it none ( worth a shot)

You could always get a optical to coax converter from somewhere like www.lektropacks.co.uk
