could any one help me setup the ASIO plug-in for Foobar2000. I have downloaded the plug-in on my laptop but I don't know what to do with it, it contains a file with .dll extension,

what are the next steps that need to be taken in order to make the plug-in work with foobar2000 V 0.9.6.3?

(i.e. where and how to save the .dll file, how to install it & how to setup Foobar ) knowing that my OS is Windows XP professional

Hi Le Robert, all you have to do is to put the dll file in the Foobar2000 components directory (c:programfilesfoobar2000components).

When you start Foobar, go to file then preferences, select playback, then output, and then select your device from the pulldown menu, it should start with ASIO, then your device name. I have the Asio4All driver on mine so I select that (the sound card is chosen from the Asio4All control panel). PjPro posted a good thread on this which is how I managed to configure mine,

Take a look.

by the way,

When I download the Asio file,(zip format) I am unable to copy/past or cut the dll file so I can put it in the designated directory.

is there a way to deal with that?

I just right clicked on the zip file and selected extract here (using winrar), then cut and pasted it to the components folder.
