A subwoofer improves the bass quality of your music exponentially. An active subwoofer does not require a separate power amplifier and sounds much better than a passive system of equivalent power. This tutorial will walk you through the steps required to connect an active subwoofer to a sound reinforcement system.

Step 1
Connect the subwoofer to the receiver

Connect the subwoofer input cable directly to the power output on the receiver using an RCA cable. Ensure that the right polarities are maintained throughout. This will begin the setup of the subwoofer.
