How to brighten the sound on a yamaha RVX- 2400 receiver

Hi,

I would like to brighten the sound on a yamaha reveiver. The amp is connected to 5.1 Accustic Energy EVO speakers which

includes two front floor standers, these are connected via QED flat bi wire cable. The amp is a Yamaha RVX-2400 and produces

a very warm sound both on blue ray movies as well as Sky HD. I prefer more bright and crisp sound, is there anything i can

change other than the amp

changing the amp will do it, otherwise changing the speakers... for a cheaper solution, you could try switching to a new speaker cable - like QED Silvery Anniversary XT, and turning off any processing. Using Pure Direct mode tends to give a crisper/leaner sound.

Play about with your EQ - between 2kHz and 7kHz. Up them by about 2dB.
