No one knows when the updates will happen. You'll get a black card from Sky letting you know it is imminent. My mate has it and says it's good but in the end, it's an EPG, nothing else!

Yes, you can see football (I saw Champions League last week and FA Cup yesterday in HD) along with any other ITV HD broadcasts.

What you can't do yet is live pause or record - it's view only. The picture is great, though - so much better than standard ITV!

At least the PQ matched the quality of the game then, And I thought the Chelsea v Arsenal game was a bit rubish lol.

Anyway my Thompson 4E3006 is still on old EPG

The game couldn`t have possibly matched the PQ, it was that bad i had to switch to freeview which wasn`t that much better but at least i could see where the ball was.

I'm a Thompson 4E3006 too and I got it today, so if you haven't had it yet it should be soon.

Had the new EPG this morning. Just in time to add ITV HD for the Arsenal v Man U match tonight.

Why is football picture quality so bad on ITV ? Don't seem to get the same lack of quality with Match Of The Day on the BBC.

stevee1966:Since adding ITV HD channel is available and straightforward to access, what is the reasoning behind ITV not allowing this channel onto the regular Sky Tv Guide ?

Freesat bought up the rights to show it exclusively. I'm sure at some point in the future it will be an addition to the normal Sky channels.

Sort of... Freesat is a joint ITV/BBC venture, so no rights-buying required. But yes, the exclusivity element is a biggie for Freesat.

It's rumoured ITV HD will become part of the standard Sky HD line-up once the new viewing cards come into play, but there are still issues with regional adverts. Though as said, they're just rumours - we've heard nothing official from Sky or ITV.

Even when it is on the sky guide, it`ll only be similar to bbc hd where they`ll stick anything on. I feel programmes like corrie, emmerdale and primeval will be a few years off. PQ though is very good.

Apparantly Primeval is set to be canned due to its high production costs, shame as my kids love it.

Apparently there is talk of it being turned into a film in the US and possibly a series, which does suggest it`s going from strength to strength so i can`t see it being canned even though it does cost a bit.

To recap from my original post: Scroll down so 'Frequency' is highlighted - then hit the red button and change the GHz to '11.427'

So, you only get the option after you've highlighted AND hit the red button

just added it, great job - thanks claire!

Yoh have to manually type in the new frequency after hitting the red button.
