How does a denon avr3805 fair against pioneer vsx 920

I currently have a denon 3805 and monitor audio radius speakers. I was wondering if the pioneer vsx-920 would be a worthy upgrade over my 6yr old amp.

The Pioner will certainly give more up to date connectivity with HDMI option, will also upscale video and give you HD sound via Blu Ray. The Denon was obviously a high spec, very competent receiver in it's day so as far as playing music through both is concerned I would advise a demo...

I'm mainly interested in the movie performance although a reasonable m performance would obviously be a bonus. I have another system that I intend to use as the main music player. Just wondered i I would get some gains in audio performance,
