Ok, I hope there is someone out there who may be able to help me out with a problem that I have wasted most of my day on, I recived a late christmas present yesterday of a Sony HT-DDW790 http://www.amazon.co.uk/HT-DDW790-Home-Cinema-System-system/dp/B000VZ4CV2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464599&sr=8-1[/URL"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/HT-DDW790-Home-Cinema-System-system/dp/B000VZ4CV2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464599&sr=8-1"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/HT-DDW790-Home-Cinema-System-system/dp/B000VZ4CV2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464599&sr=8-1 bit like this now I'm trying to connect it up to my Panisonic DVD player http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DMR-ES10EB-S-DVD-Disc-Recorder/dp/B0009EFO6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464703&sr=1-1[/URL"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DMR-ES10EB-S-DVD-Disc-Recorder/dp/B0009EFO6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464703&sr=1-1"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DMR-ES10EB-S-DVD-Disc-Recorder/dp/B0009EFO6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1206464703&sr=1-1 in the Sony manual it says either use the HDMI leads, nope the panisonic dose not have that socket or....... use the digital coaxial output from the DVD player. Ok not got one of those either.

So, looking in the panisonic manual it say connect the amp up with using the audio output left and right so should I do that and plug into say the left right input for the satalite sockets or what?

Or shall I keep banging my head on the wall till the pain goes away?

Altenativley I coulds use the digital optical sockets on the DVD / AMP (though this is shown in the sony manual as being used for a blue-ray)

Any help ..... Pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssssss

give it some optical me thinks then the path is digital from the dvd source straight through to the amp and speakers.

You can pick a decent one up real cheap on this site: www.audiovisualonline.co.uk.

hope this helps matey.
