I have £1000 - £1400 to spend on a Surround sound system. Can any one advice on what is the best system for my budget, I will be matching this to a Pioneer Kuro PDP5090?

Well you could do a lot worse than a Q-Acoustics 2000 package with a Pioneer 1019 and BDP320.

Alternatively if you are looking for smaller speakers a KEF 2005 pack with an Onkyo 607 and a Panasonic BD60 will see you right.
