home cinema with integrated dvd/hd recorder ? any 5* rated ones out there ?

My Dad is itching to spend his hard earned pension and wants to upgrade his dvd system to an all in one home cinema system with dvd recorder (including HDD) and upscaling facility. He's a right fuss pot and will only buy a 5 star rated system and particular rates the views of What Hi-Fi and its relations. Any views or recommendations will be gratefully received and researched. Thanks !

Are you needing everything to be in one box i.e. home cinema, DVD and DVD/HDD recorder? I don't actually know of any off the top of my head...

Yes i think his preference is an all in one system, i thought What Hi Fi would have reviewed some ?
