i have the option to buy now the LG 65EC970V or the Sony KD75X9405C or wait for the LG G6P - what do you think?

I think it depends on what your after from your TV, what your viewing is, do you game, what distance your sitting from the TV, how much your spend, do you want 4K HDR or just 4K, are you happy with 1080p? As you can see it's not just a case of saying which one, you'll need to let us know a little more about what your after

Basically i want to be as future-proofed as possible. HDR is a definite. we sit about 4 metres away from the TV. we watch films, terrestrial tv and football. it must be UHD as i have been with HD for quite a while now. from my research all the tvs i listed will suit our requirements and i have read excellent reviews on each but am now at that stage where i just dont know which one!

hi simon. i did look at this tv or rather the UE65JS9500 but i was a bit put off by the curved screen. i prefer to hang my screen from a bracket and ive not been too impressed with curved screens so far. i thought of them as a bit gimmicky but recently read a review in one of the tech mags that hailed them. i like the quantum dot tech as this is supposed to be very close to being as good as OLED (but cheaper). i am having a bit of a problem getting a delivery date and price for the LG G6 (i live in northern cyprus and we cant get much out here!). what do you think of the Sony i mentioned as i am leaning towards that however its a 2015 model. HDR is also important.

what do you reckon is the best panel on the market (up to £10,000)?

Whatever machine you buy, do not get the LG 65EC970V as on AVForums, the calibrator Steve Withers has said that the 970V cannot be properly calibrated.

Last year's Sony KD75X9405C is a great television, and if you don't want to a surround-sound setup, its built-in speakers are tremendous, probably be the best-ever loudspeakers on a domestic television.

Can you get the Panasonic OLED or flat LG?

Depends on whether the concept of TV calibration exists where the OP lives (North Cyprus I think).

hi

there is no-one on the island that does panasonic but i can get LG models albeit after quite a wait!

I don't think the 970v is HDR so that might not be the best option. If it were me and money was no object I'd wait to see the G6P
