I am planning a surround sound Home Cinema system in our second home, a penthouse in Bangalore, India. Although there is a good local Yamaha authorised dealer, the plan I have is bit of mix & match and so wanted to get advice here first before buying anything there. Unfortunately, while everything is available, each item is 20 to 25% more expensive than in the UK. Nothing I can do about it.
The system will consist of a 55" 4K TV, a 4K blu-ray player, a 4K Tata Sky box (the local satellite service provider) and of course the Yamaha audio system. The other items are all already chosen but the following is what I want to do with the speakers. There is a marble floor (common in India) and the flat is rather open plan and so cabling for rear speakers is not possible.
1. Yamaha RX V685 AV Receiver (has Musiccast capability)
2. Yamaha NS SW 300 Subwoofer
3. Yamaha NS P350 speaker package (central and 2 fronts)
4. Yamaha Musiccast 20 (WX 021) wireless rear speakers
Obviously, the subwoofer and NS P350 speakers will have cables while the rears will be powered and wireless. That is the basic plan but will it work without any sync or other problems?
