Having just moved home I have realised that my existing Home Cinema Surround System will not fit in to my new room.

I have been looking at the Sooundbar systems with a sub woofer as it does not have a wired collection of speakers all around the room and think this might be the best sollution but I know absolutly nothing about soundbars so am not sure if this is the best solution.

I really like my existing JBL system but really cant go for a system that has wires all around my new room, anybody got any ideas or suggestion please

I will have a look thanks i wonder if they will be compatable with my current system. I think they will still need to be plugged into a power source and wire connecting them to each other but will have a close look

many thanks

Pretty much any wireless speaker will require a power lead, I think Philips may do a soundbar with battery powered surrounds but I've no idea how long the batteries last. It doesn't sound especially practical to me.

No I agree but really not sure what to do I have an Onkyo TR-SX605 receiver which is working my active sub and four Jamo surround cube speakers but the wiring is really a problem in the new house, so not sure which way to go now.

The soundbars seem ok if you just want better TV sound but not sure how good they will be listening to music or video's as i really love the sound from the surround systems
