It know appears that my decision to procure a DAV IS10 system was a little shortsighted Ive run out of HDMI Ports on the TV and the all in one is now looking redundant unless I want to play a DVD. To connect I have a Blu Ray, PVR, Freesat HD PVR, PC and ocasionally my HD Camcorder if I dont want to boot up the PC so 5 HDMI cables into 3 on my Panasonic plasma doesnt go.
The reason for getting the Sony initially was in essence around the low visual impact of the speakers black golfballs and at the time the cost of Blu Ray, the roomshape also dictated that tiny speakers were required as for the TV to be properly viewed I had to mount it onto a motorised Vogels bracket for a 45 degree angle the fact that I couldnt find a soundbar that could be attatched to the bracket as move with the TV meant that the mounting the little speakers on top of the TV (and even though it looks a bit whack it sounds great) was my only choice if I wanted to the speakers to point in the right direction of where I was sitting.
But back to the dilema I need to keep the speakers and to get an AMP (suggestions welcomed but the £450 Onkyo seems the favourite) to get the best out of them and allow everything to sound its best, I will probably need a new sub whoofer (as the woofer was connected to the dvd player with a 25 pin socket) but if it can stay and do a job then please tell me so any suggestions would be greatly received though moving house and starting all over again isnt a go er.
many thanks
Paul
