Well , I can only imagine how good it is now :) Sorry about the thick question , but how much does it cost such an improvement to the sound . Just out of a curiosity...And also , how do you find the Elements DAC ? Did you have another one to compare it with ..?

Well, eBay finally found me some MA Platinum PL200s in Rosewood that I couldn't resist so I now have a full Platinum surround system. :bounce:

A few updates. I now have a Marantz 8801 pre-amplifier and decided to go the whole hog with the 11.1 speakers. I imported an Emotiva UPA-700 for the surround speakers and it's integrated really well. I went for a variety of Monitor Audio speakers to try and keep the same(-ish) "sound". I broke the system in with Expendables 2 and it sounds excellent.

I also bought some blackout blinds after a conversation with the guy who was re-calibrating my TV.

Some new updates. Have finally bought a projector, the Sony VPL-HW55ES, which I've had calibrated by Julian. I'm regretting not buying it earlier, as it really has transformed the viewing experience.

A friend of mine also made me some "caps" for the Bass Traps at the front so that I could hang the height speakers from them rather than rest them on the top. After an Audyssey Pro calibration, it has really opened up the soundstage to the heights.
