I'm looking at getting the following for a good entry level set up:

• Sony 820 AV receiver
• Jamo A102 Speaker set

I have a PS3 and the a Samsung LCD Series 4/3 37in.

What I need to know is what cables should I get to get the best out of the set-up. The buget for the cables is £100 and the room size is about 4x4m.

Well, you will need an hdmi from screen to receiver and another one from receiver to PS3. This will give you sound and vision using PS3. If you want surround sound from the screen's freeview channel, you will need analogue or digital cables from screen to receiver. Speaker cable for those speakers can be kept fairly cheap. I would spend about £15 on each hdmi cable (shop around) and then £50 on speaker cables. You will also need a subwoofer cable (£5).

Also are there any additional cables that I might need, due to the things I've been reading about the HD Audio output from the PS3?

If you wanted surround sound from your freeview LCD, I think your screen has optical out, so you can connect the following to your receiver for sound.

HD audio will be received by your hdmi cable from PS3 to receiver when you play a BD.
