I just saw this on yahoo news, and was wondering whether it would enhance my existing set up. Also, if one were to get these installed, would they turn an SD picture into HD?

I thought that it might help me view everything in HD. It would save me a lot of money on the cost of blu rays over dvds, and there would be no need to upgrade my tv package to HD.

My only concern is its upscaling capabilities, and whether or not the source of the image will let down the whole set up.

sounds like an audition would be your best bet , get one eye done on a weeks trial , you can then see the difference by viewing with one eye at a time ?? maybe if you use both eyes you will see in 3d ?? it would certainly future proof your a.v. set up ....
