Hey

Does anyone know if the Blok Stax in walnut is the same walnut as Monitor audio silver range walnut?

Need to make room for a new amp, looking at the SC-LX72 but my current cab only has 190mm height so wont have enough height to keep everything cool as the LX72 is like 190mm height as well.

Thanks

Has anyone seen the two?

Need to act quick as they have changed colour on the walnuts, and the new one is american walnut which is a totally different colour to the MA RX series walnut.

Thanks

Sorry was going to get the Blok stand but its only 400mm depth and the Pioneer amp is 460mm depth, so its not going to fit, which is silly.

Any other ideas? what about this

I've been looking for MONTHS for a stand that will hold my telly, centre and amp, but keep the amp out of reach of baby (as yet unborn).

Had a toddler over last weekend, and he pressed every button on my amp many, many, many times - so doors are a must.

Have just found this - think the wife may approve: http://www.standanddeliver.com/acatalog/Jahnke_Cuuba_Media-Line_ML-150_Walnut.html

Having just moved house, new baby on the way - I really can't justify spending more.

Toddlers were fine they never messed with my stuff lucky, but need a rack that is more than 460,, depth, and cant see much that is nice, even the milan has only 400mm depth which is really silly, as most high end amps have a deep back

Oh and need a hifi rack as its going in a aclove and no room for the RX6 which will be coming

300 at most, I suppose it does not have to be walnut as I cant find anything, maybe a nice black or something

This is the problem I had, except my little ones nearly wrecked my amp - I'm assuming all their random button pushing is why it needed a new DSP and motherboard

That's why I bought my Salamander-AV Geneva 336 - big, with doors, optional back panels and big enough for all my kit, and more to come

heh - build the house around it!

Some of the better units have open backs. Not ideal, but pay a cabinet maker a few quid to extend the lower shelf. Or have something made bespoke.

The amp is very big!

Remember you've got hdmi (extra 40mm +) cables etc to go in the back of the amp also, i've had to leave the back off my alphason abr1100 to fit the amp and it still hangs over the back.

And if you use bannana plugs it may also add depth.

My advice....... adapt and overcome!

What I am going to do..... as want this amp.

Buy the blok stax 400 walnut, its only 60mm short at the back.

Will drill a piece of wood on the wall directly behind the bottom shelf which will be 70-80 mm thick.

That should do I would think

Still leaning towards the Blok stax 400 and having a piece of wood at the bottom as i am sure its the same colour as the Walnut RX1.

Dont want to risk it with that other blox one, just in case things dont pan out.

The blok idea is not ideal, but cant see much out there for less than 300.00 that will hold the sc-lx72.
