Mains cables. most of them do not work. Made my system sound worst. Only when I invested in a proper main conditioner did I notice how bad the cables on thier own sounded.
Bought online & returned under DSR, which apparently places me somehwere between Adolf Hitler & Gengis Khan... :rofl:SteveR750 said:had you bought it? or just demo'd it?

Crocodile said:Discovering first hand that the £250 Onkyo TX-8050 stereo receiver sounded like a £250 stereo receiver rather than the giant-slaying beast it was being hyped up to be.

You seem to have posted in the wrong thread. This one is entitled "Hi-Fi that has not met the initial expectation placed upon it". That's why I posted my experience. Really don't need you to tell me I'm wrong thanks. :hand:
If you look, I'm sure you can find another thread to further worship at the alter of the Onkyo where you can disagree until your heart's content.

...still, it simply shows that partnered with the wrong gear, almost anything won't sound at its best.
Can't let it go can you, even after the OP re-posts what they were intending? Who mentioned RRP?the record spot said:Plainly, but with one exception. Hell, he couldn't even get the RRP right (£400)...
And I paid £250, so no idea what trivial point scoring exercise you're attempting here? Other than that you obviously consider your opinion to be somehow superior to mine & have to pathetically try to justify your sense of self-importance.the record spot said:Price had been £400, but then it came down in Superfi and Richer Sounds. Hmmm, then Superfi start doing their 10% off thing...and for the £270 I handed over, it's an utter steal.
