Anyone know of a rack that will hold a big power amp? By big I mean, well, big! My Musical Fidelity A370 is about 49cm wide, 37cm tall and 38cm deep, weighs about 40kg aswell. It's huge and I can't find a rack that will hold it, does anyone know of one? I could even sit it on the floor with the bottom shelf going over it.

Oh, and it's fully Class A, running at about 60 degrees in normal room temperature when doing nothing, so I can't use a closed in cabinet.

Hi-Fi Racks will make you one. You could look at the Spectral HE range, it is big enough and will take the weight. It is open on all sides so no worries about the heat, we have a big Plinius Class A amp on it right now and it is toasty!

I think I'll give Hifi racks a message, seems like they're reliable. The Spectral is just ridiculously priced, I think.

Edit: Is it the SA103? If it is, imagine another one half the size on top, then add an inch!

Hi. If you are still looking without any luck, we are advertising our new "PRO STAX" hifi rack in the next issue of WHF. The PS has been designed for the largest & heaviest power amps with a bottom shelf clearance of 50.5cm

& 35cm

...so it still won't fit your amp!! However, we can customise one for you with a 40cm bottom shelf height under the "Your BLOK" custom design service.

The PS features all around ventilation and 40kg is not a problem.

Apologies if this post is seen as bad etiquette. We are a regular advertiser in WHF, and we joined the forum today. Looked for some rules & guidance for companies but didn't see them. Haven't posted any links to product pages just in case.

And i obviously haven't got the hang of posting grammar....where did those emoticons come from??? They were meant to say 50.5cm Width 52cm Depth and 35cm Height

I bought my unit from off e-bay, they make the unit's from scratch which was ideal for me as i had to make it larger to accommodate the CDP.

If you like it i'm sure they would make a unit for you, the build quality is very good and i had no problems with the transaction.

Either a Hi-Fi Racks isolation platform (comes in "standard" size but can be specified to any size you want) or an Audiophile Base platform of suitable size.
