help with projector project

Hello All,

I am in two minds if to get a large tv or a projector. I like the sound of having a projector and an electric screen but am worried if it would just be a whim instead of going for a conventional tv.

I really would like to hear your views on this. I sit around just over 3m away from the viewing wall. I watch mainly freeview with the odd blu ray from my ps3.

Any advice would be great.

Hmm, if you're mainly watching Freeview, I'd probably go for a TV - I can understand projectors if you watch loads of movies (in fact I'm intending to get one myself), but if it's only the occasional one, I think a projector is too much for just Grand Designs and the like!

If you haven't got a large disc collection then it won't be worthwhile. Vanilla Freeview will not look good blown up on a big PJ screen. I bought mine necause of the size and the wife-friendly convenience of being able to put the screen away afterwards. It's a joy to go through your film library again on the really big screen...
