Help with a Pioneer DVR-550

Help!!!

Two things with my new Pioneer DVR-550-HX Firstly, it refuses to download the Electronic Programme Guide, I have tried going through the set-up many times using different combinations and I leave the thing for two days between each try. It does power up and display EPG so it is trying! Its found the free-view channels so i guess my reception is good enough. I use a Sky box as well.

Secondly how do I get the thing multi-region?

If someone can help me before i go mad that would be grand!

to get it multi region would be upto whoever you bought it from as to weither theyd do it or not as the case may be

I know for a fact you require a disc to alter the pioneers for mr in the blu-ray players (std dvd only) and I should imagine it would be the same for this but Im not 100% on the HD side of things
