help upgrading

Hi guys I have this system:

amp - arcam alpha 8

cd - marantz cd 63 ki signature

rega planar 3 with sony cartridge or rega bias2

speakers - REGA rs1 and B&W 603

1 - Will the DEnon DL110 be a good upgrade for my turntable?

2 - I am thinking of amps to upgrade: REGA brio-R (new) , unison research unico (mint) , roksan kandy k2 ,

3 - speakers - thinking of PROAC studio 110 or proac reference 8 signature

any help?

What do you like and/or not like about your current set up?

I'm basing this on guesswork, so do ignore me, but I would be tempted to add something like the Arcam Alpha 8p power amp - from what I've read adding the matching Arcam power amp takes the system to another level. It would be a fairly inexpensive thing to do, and if you didn't like it you could probably resell at little to no loss.

Sorry if that doesn't exactly answer your question, just my 2p's worth!

I am thinking of doing that. I saw a mint unit here in portugal. How much you think would be a goor price ? he is asking 140 euros. i think is too much.

This system is going to my father.

So i will be needing another amp and speakers

Keep the rs1 and get a Brio R, it works so well together and you have a decent phono stage in the Brio.

hi guys

i went to a near city shop and did some trying.

Roksan system or audiolab - not my cup of tea.

unison primo - not bad

densen b-110 worked great with monitor audio rx1

but i liked the primare I32 better

i found another thing... my marantz 63 ki sig keeps up real good with the ausiolab. i wouldnt trade unless for the DAC use.

I will get the proac studi 110 and keep the cd for now. maybe i get a arcam 8p for now
