Here is the problem, when playing music, right speaker hisses, no music, or sometimes the mid-bass driver flapps in and out uncontrollably, this speaker is connected to the right channel of the amp, have swapped speakers and cables around but always happens out of the right channel, it even hisses when the cd is not playing. Have had a look inside the amp, can,t see any broken solder or burned wires etc. Before contacting Sugden, anyone got any ideas please, had it for about 7 years now so out of warranty.

You mean when you connect your left speaker to the amp's right channel output, the problem moves to the left speaker?

Yes that,s right Andrew, what would you recommend as a replacement to get the same sound, assuming Sugden say it,s unrepairable.

Yea, your a tease igglebert, believe it or not i actually prefer a pre and amp rather than an integrated, but thanks for that anyway. Phoned The Audio Salon where i bought it and Jack said bring it down to him and he would sort it out, says he doesn,t think it should be a problem because its Sugden. Here,s hoping.
I don't think you'd care if the Masterclass was one, two or six boxes if you heard it. Still, with any luck yours will be fixable!

Been over a week now since i sent the amp back to Jack at Audio Salon, no news yet, doesn,t look too good, 8 days without music. Any recommendations about a replacement if i have to buy, have to give me the same kind of sound. Thanks John
