i have an NAD T758 surround sound receiver powering my wharfedale 10.CM centre speaker(in future will also be running surround speakers) and i have my NAD C326BEE stereo integrated amplifier running my wharfedale 10.1 front speakers(in future will be adding wharfale 10.7 floor standing speakers). I also have 2 wharfedale 10.SX powered subwoofers but am not sure whether to run them off the surround receiver(which has only one sub input or my stereo amp(which has 2 sub inputs) can someone please explain to me which one to run them from n how to do so? thanks

Welcome to the forum.

That's quite a jumble of equipment you have there and I am not sure what exactly you are trying to achieve. Are you using system for home cinema as well as a pure stereo system?

I would keep the two completely seperate. Use your receiver to run all speakers for the home cinema side of things including one sub (you reallly do not need two) and use the NAD amp purely as a stereo setup with the 10.7's and no sub.

Are you using the AV amp as an off board processor wired through the stereo amp pre outs?

I'm asuming you use the stereo amp for music and add in the AV for movies?

I'd use the two sub outs on the C326BEE, that way you are ensuring both subs are receiving the same signal (important if you want to use the tone controlls) if you're using the set up as I susspect.

Two subs are only really required if your room is large and the bass is uneven throughout the room when sitting on different seats. I run two subs (from a C326BEE as it happens) due to the size/shape and furnishings in my room even my floorstanding Tannoy Mercury V4 speakers couldn't fill the space with detailed bass.

thanks for the advice :) i am more interested in the music side of thing but yes it will also be setup for movies i was told that i should use my stereo amp(c326bee) as a power amp for my av reciever(t758) and to connect the front loudspeaker left/right pre-outs on the av receiver to inputs on the stereo amp and then connect the front speakers to the stereo amp

sorry in very new to the hi-fi world i have taught myself the most basics concepts and understandings but there are limited specifics i can find for my exact intended setup and which way is best to do it, at the start i only had the front speakers and the stereo amp but then found myself extrenely intrigued by the hi-fi world and also im very passionate about music and the great artists who create it.
