Help required on Garrard 301 open plinth system

Hi Has anyone purchased the Custom Garrard 301 open turntable plinth from E-bay (the red one)? I want to upgrade my 301 and a good start would be a new plinth, I can’t afford the slate deck. Comments would be helpful. Thanks

Dr. Martin Bastin does a line in plinths for 301s and 401s - I think his workload is pretty hefty for such projects and no idea re: cost, but he comes recommended. The link below carries an example of his work (it's the first picture below)...
