The straight forward way would be to run it as you already do, simply replacing your NAD with the new Audiolab player, plugged into the CD input of the K2. This is probably the set-up I would go with.

I presume you are wondering whether to bypass the pre-amp of the K2 and use the pre-amp capabilities of the CDQ. You could certainly do this and it would be worth trying but obviously you would still use the K2's built-in pre-amp for the turntable.

As Matthewpiano says.

I'm a little puzzled why you have chosen the Audiolab CDQ. This particular model doubles up as a preamp. The Kandy has a very good preamp already, so don't see the need. If you're taken by the Audiolab then go for the basic CD8200. It won't be that short on sound quality, in comparison, and you'll save around £200.

If you do replace your CDP with the the audiolab 8200CDQ, you have the advantage of digital inputs as a future upgrade path. Your NAD has has a digital coax output, you could keep it & add a DAC - doing so also leaves room for future upgrades but adds another box to your system. There are a number of DACs that are cheaper than the CDQ such as from Rega & audiolab's M-DAC that is considered to have better sound than the CDQ for less money.
