Can anyone please advise - I have an iMac, in my study, with iTunes containing ALAC files that I would like to stream to my DAC/hifi, which is in the sitting room. Is there a device that would enable me remote access/control the iMac from the sitting room in order to stream music to the hifi? (Does the iPad have such a function?) Ta []

iPod Touch or iPhone.

You'll need the latest versions if you want your network to run in 802.11n mode, unless you've got a router that support n and g connections simultaneously.

There's always the possibility to control your computer with a remote control extender. There's all kinds, from cheap one-to-one wireless dinguses to advanced wired systems from Xantech, Speakercraft, Russound and others. You won't get a display though, so you'll have some difficulties with finding the right music...

Android Remote-for-iTunes installed - clear and simple interface that's also very intuitive, and connection/interaction with iMac/iTunes is lightning fast
