Hello folks, my first post here so please go easy!
I've connected my Apple iPod to my ageing Technics SU-A900 MKII amp using an iPod interconnect lead, which is effectively a 3.5mm jack connector at the iPod, and left/right stereo RCA connectors at the amp end and this is plugged into the aux input on the amp.
When I turn the volume up past 40% on the amp, the amp appears to trip into protected mode and all sound is disabled. I then have to power the amp off/on to restore service.
My speakers are B&W 602s and are connected to the amp using QED Original speaker cable, although the length of cable to each speaker is approx 10 metres.
Any ideas/advice received most gratefully - thank you. Pete.
