Help picking a new tv !!!

I am planning on buying a new tv and need a bit of help. i have a budget of up to £600 and am not sure whether to get an lcd or plasma, 37-42 inch. it would be used for my xbox 360 as well as everyday tv watching and movies, any help would be much appreciated, thanks

I have the Panasonic 37X10(plasma) and love it! For me, the picture quality is brilliant and I am also so pleased with the sound quality that I haven't bothered getting an external sound system.
It replaced a 32" Panasonic LCD and I find the Plasma to be much better and doesn't cause eye strain like the LCD did!

A great Tv at a budget price.

I've been looking at the sammy LE40B650 looks good with sd material which is important to me hd looks quality and i've seen it for £650 so there are always alternatives
