Help no sound from Panasonic home theater sound system

Just purchased Panny SC-PT470 home theater sound system and connected it to Panny TX-37LZD85 LCD TV using HMDI cable and optical digital cable,cannot get any sound from sound system when watching TV, the viera link switches TV audio to home cinema but no sound.

Help solving this please!!

Have you selected Digital IN on the home cinema? As far as I can tell that's all you should need to do, I think the TV will output from the Optical output automatically.
