Not sure why you didn't go with the WiiM mini which was suggested a couple of times as it seemed to tick the boxes of wjat you were looking for.
Simple really..... All the information I saw on the WiiM mini suggests its great, but the DAC isn't so great. And most owners use the optical output to connect it to another DAC. My amp doesn't have one cos its over 20 years old.
I wanted an all in one solution and not box after box after box. The Ifi zen air blue seemed a good option judging by online reviews/comments and that has been backed up by the fact I think it sounds really good.
