Heat bluray - a disgrace!

After eagerly awaiting this magnificent movie release on bluray I am appalled at the transfer. One 'home cinema' mag I read was rather generous with praising its picture and sound, but another 'movie review' mag was as hacked off as I am.

I have about 200 blurays and I know all about film grain being an inherent part of the medium often, but it looks no better than the dvd. I think the print is in need of restoration despite being 15 yrs old.

The spectacular gun battle is also a real let down too as the audio is again better on dvd.

Anyone else got this yet?

I agree the video transfer could/should be better - a full back-to-master restoration would have been appreciated, and far more films should benefit from such care.

However, can't fully agree on the sonics: felt the Dolby True HD soundtrack was nice and meaty, with the final shootout a real system-tester...
