Hdmi v1.3 Question.

Will a hdmi lead version 1.3 work on a plasma which does not surport it ie panasonic 37px80.

Yup.

Yes the HDMI standard just refers to the bandwidth of the cable ie how much signal it can carry at any one moment.

All you're doing by choosing a 1.3 cable for a 1.2 or less equipment is choosing something thats overspecc'ed for what you want ie has more bandwidth than you actually need. It should work perfectly well.
