I'm currently thinking about upgrading my home cinema, unfortunatley the purchasing of the tv is going to have to wait until next year. I currently have a 32" Phillips HD ready tv which only has one DVI input. My plan was to purchase a new AV amp, probably the Denon AV1909, I've got a hdmi cable in the wall in preparation for the upgrade. Would I be able to use a hdmi - Dvi connector plugged onto the end (hdmi into the denon out put Dvi into the tv????).

If this works,I hope I should be able to upscale dvd/sky through the denon and have additional hdmi inputs for Blue Ray / Xbox 360 and have the HD audio. Or have I got it totally wrong??

Any help or advise would be appreciated, as this kit will have to last.

yep just put a HDMI to DVI on the end of the cable and thats your Image sorted.

No sound but thats what the amp is for.
