I have just bought the ACER which has bluray and HDMI out. I connected it to a spare slot on the 875 but the picture is awful and has a green tinge. I have tried different sockets on the Onkyo and a different HDMI cable that works fine for my Humax. The picture is fine if connected directly to the TV. I have the recommended settings(1920) as detected by the laptop. Any suggestions gratefully received

I have an Acer 8930G with Blu Ray and HDMI out too. When I connect it to my Onkyo 806 I get no picture whereas if I connect it to Panny tv direct it works fine although I lose sound quality obviously. I did read somewhere on a forum that there is a 'handshake' issue between the Acer and Onkyo but can't recall what the 'fix' was. If you right click on the volume icon in the right of the taskbar it should bring up various options one of whic is playback devices. Click on that option and ensure that the HDMI out option is 'ticked'.

Fixed it. The problem was that the HDMI setting on the tv for the HDMI input from the Onkyo was set to "Colour 2" not "Auto" . Setting to Auto fixed it. Also wapping , the setting from VIDEO to PC means the screen now fits properly.
