Why are there so many different HDMI leads on the market? We all know that,by definition, these leads send their information digitally (Os and 1s) and we have always read that the signal is better if it stays in the digital domain. If this is so, are we just paying for the quality of the connectors,eg,alloy or gold covered alloy, or is there such a thing as BETTER QUALITY Os and 1s.I would like to here other members views on this subject.

Unfortunately, as you can probably tell, the subject has been discussed the death and most of us are a little bored with it.

I agree with petesneds, do a search and you'll turn up a handful of threads that should hopefully will answer your question.

Sadly none of the threads will answer your question. This issue really seems to polarize opinon.

The only really useful advise is to see if you can obtain a range of cables that you can return if you are not happy with them. Test them yourself then you can see which side of the fence you fall on.

Same goes for any mains conditioning stuff.
