HDMI cables - I need help!

I am about to connect my new plasma to the Sky Box and dvd player. Should I bother with expensive HDMI cables or are they all the same? If there is a difference, can anyone reccomend a good choice?

Ok then, in a nutshell, yes they make a difference, and no, they don't make any difference.

Those are the answers you'll find in all the other threads!

Either way QEDs cables seem to be considered a good cable at a reasonable price, better build quality than free cables and they don't cost so much money that if you don't see any difference you'll think you've wasted your cash like you might with a more expensive one.

But really, you've got to try them and make your own mind up if they make any difference, because you won't get a definitive answer here...

I cut 2 cables in half (one rrp at £40 from high street shop and the other came free with my HK dvd player) the different is ....

Your cash! so spend it how you like at least I found out in my own way + that doesn't mean the other expensive brands will do "dress to thrill" cable the same way to the one I cut.

i have tried hdmi cables from a fiver to £109 and i honestly could not tell the difference so save some cash and buy a cheap hdmi cable..
