I have a very old pair of Sennheiser HD480II which need to be replaced as my Arcam A28 clearly shows them us as being rubish. I'm interested in the HD558 (£110), HD 598 (£180) or RS180 (£160).

I'm tempted to go for the HD558 as most bang for the buck, but the RS180 seem to be cheep, but I'm not sure how good they are, or should I go for more money and the HD 598?

Help and advice please

Cheers

Jason

Hi Jason. The RS180 is a wireless headphone, so I'm not sure if you're in the market for one of those?

I didn't actually realise Sennheiser had renumbered their models.

Can you demo at all? For example, John Lewis sells these headphones and it will help you enormously.... Shop around too as the sales will give you some bargains.

Happy New Year by the way.
