Hi. Recently aquired a Harmon Kardon HK 6850 amp with two very big JBL speakers. My music sauce at present is an iphone! Less than ideal, but for the moment it will have to do. Is there any device I should be using to connect amp to iphone? Thank you.

You'll need a special cable at least.

Welcome to the Forum, oatway! Nice cable for a nice and capable HK: I'd get a long one so I could control it from my chair. I do that with a couple of DAPs though I could connect them quite easily with Bluetooth.

Why would he need a DAP? He's got an iPhone.
He could connect that via Bluetooth if he got a Bluetooth receiver.
I don't understand your comments.

An alternative is to use a device like this dongle to take the signal from your iPhone. It has various connectors depending on how old your iPhone is, e.g. lightning or usb c connector. Then you use a cable to the Aux or a similar line input on your Harman/kardon amp.

If you want to stream wirelessly then there are other options to achieve that. Does your music reside on your iPhone or do you use a service like Spotify or Apple Music?
