Hi Mac.. I would like to audition the 40s but im not keen on their looks and how they sound with heavy like Metallica?

I will admit, that's not a genre I listen to, but certainly with the SHL5+ they could handle any type of music and I'm sure the 40's would be just as capable... no harm in having a demo?

How about you young man, about time you upgraded your set up surely!

Re speaker stands, I will be buying matching walnut stands especially made for the Harbs by HiFi Racks. later in year.

Touche.

I have found myself retired...so no money for anything atm.

If property recovers here....then I have my eye on some New Kef Refs/Mini Blade + an Akurate DS.

One should always have a plan.

Retired hey! lucky man... are you enjoying it?

I look forward to your future demoes.

It's 10 years earlier than I planned.....but I'm happy that I got out.

Good luck to you.

I hope not to be too far behind you, mind you come October the rest of the year will be a right off as I'm going under the knife!

....and good luck to you my friend.

As you know, I'm all too familiar with going under the knife and taking several months to recover.

Let me know how things go.
