Green/blue line down the screen

My Samsung 50inch plasma is displaying a thin green/blue line, only maybe one pixel thick down the screen, around 12inch in from the left side.

It's getting on a bit now, I've had it over 8 years, but it's been a good set, it this the first signs of it knackering up? Or can this be fixed viably?

I took it apart and gave it a clean and checked the ribbons, but the line is still there.

Any advice?

I have this problem as well bigfish on my 51" Samsung plasma TV 🙁 .... except the line is about one inch from the left hand side. I can't find a 'fix' as yet online and Samsung Live Chat was of no good use.

My own TV is only around three years old.
