gotham cables

Well, there's a possibility that I'm going active soon but in the meantime I've ordered some Gotham interconnects purely because they are cheap, of a nice colour (red) and it will only replace the tuner interconnect which currently is from Maplin. Just bored and heard a couple of good things about the brand (gotham). Has anyone got any experience with their products?

Well I have a set, and they are at least as good as my Cambridge audio silver spirit that cost £50 for 50cm 10 years ago.
But then I am known as a cable skeptic so my opinion probably wont count so much.

Yup, three pairs (50cm - £9.95), sound great.

Did some A/B last weekend, chord cobra didn't beat them..........

Did some A/B last weekend, chord cobra didn't beat them.......... I ordered mine in red but got black but apart from that they are fantastic value. I also tested my set against Chord Cobra 3 and the new Crimson. I wouldn't say that the Gothams were better but as John says, the Chord cables weren't noticably better than the Gothams. Considering the Cobra 3 is circa £45 and the Crimson £35, the Gothams are worth a go. As mentioned before, I then got lucky and won the original Chord Anthem for a very good price on ebay. This cable gives a big difference overall. I've now got the version 2 as I again got a good price and it's more flexible (physically).

I've just replaced 2 pairs of interconnects with these in the last few days, and I must say I'm very impressed considering the cost. Well worth a try 'cause if you don't like them you haven't lost hundreds of pounds.
