I wish I could find a way of extracting so much money from the rich...

while the platter surface incorporates Alcantara, the suede-like microfibre formerly used in Williams F1 race cars and currently used in the luxurious, high-end Meze Audio Empyrean II headphones.

Alcantara is also used on the OEM earpads of my Shure SRH1540s. It is not an expensive material.

OMG - 128 Thousand dollars for a turntable to play scratchy, crackling, popping old fashioned platter records. There are no words for how stupid this is. The thing is, there are people who will buy it. Although not many. I guess if you are rich enough to throw away 128K, go for it.
